Narrative Summary
Unit #1, a gold Jeep Grand Cherokee was driving northbound in the A-lane, while Unit #2, a gold Kia Sorrento, was driving northbound in the B-lane. For unknown reasons, the Jeep and the Kia collided. Both drivers stated that the other driver crossed over into their lane, causing the collision. The driver of the Jeep was originally going to be stopped for speeding, before knowledge of the collision existed. The driver of the Jeep was found to be driving while suspended and uninsured. The driver of the Jeep was cited for speeding, driving uninsured, and driving while suspended, and the Jeep was towed by Rowley’s Towing for SB780 impound. Both drivers were provided a driver exchange. No injuries to either party as a result of the collision.

Narrative Summary
A trailer and boat were left broken down on 7/3/22 near milepost 13.5 on highway 18. The owner of the boat arrived on 7/6/22 back to the location to find his trailer and boat were gone. A signed stolen report was taken. Afterwards, the driver located the trailer and boat at Mishler’s Towing in Willamina. An inquiry began with Mishler’s. It was gathered the trailer and boat had been struck by a hit and run driver as it was parked near milepost 21.75 just before Grand Ronde. It appears the trailer and boat were stolen from the original location and later abandoned/disabled at MP 21.75 where it was later hit during the morning hours of 7/6/22 and then it was requested to be towed by Grand Ronde Police. This was corroborated by the Grand Ronde Officer who took the crash report. No suspect information is known.

A call about a cold crash where the vehicle was still approximately 20 feet down an embankment was received. The owner of the vehicle was asking what she needed to do to get the vehicle out of there. I called for a tow, and Car Care Tow Pro out of Lincoln City said they would come out and tow the vehicle out after the afternoon traffic rush, as they would need flaggers to close down half of the highway. I called Car Care Tow Pro on 07/15/2022 and they still had not removed the vehicle, but would make sure to get it out of there today. Car Care advised they would call OSP dispatch once the vehicle was removed.
