DEPOE BAY – A 22-year-old Gleneden Beach man was killed late Friday when his car ran off U.S. Highway 101 north of Depoe Bay and struck several trees.
Oregon State Police said Evan C. Nunn was driving south on Highway 101 about 11:15 p.m. when he failed to negotiate a curve between Boiler Bay and Depoe Bay. His Honda Accord went off the southbound shoulder, continued into the forest, down a steep bank where it struck several trees. Police said the car broke into pieces and the driver’s seat was ejected from the vehicle.
Nunn sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
