Nathan C. Woodruff, Yachats
March 27, 1976 – May 24, 2023
Nathan Christopher Woodruff, 47, of Yachats passed away at his home on May 24, 2023, following a valiant battle with colon cancer.
Nate was born in Manteca, Calif. on March 27, 1976, to Kathryn Rogers and Rick Woodruff. He was a sweet and affectionate son who, from an early age was very industrious and enjoyed being self-sufficient. As a child he delivered newspapers, sold mistletoe, and once even picked up thousands of cigarette butts from a restaurant parking lot for a penny each. As an adult, he worked as a truck driver and was very skilled with all types of hauling, from sugar to milk to gasoline.
In 2006, he married his best friend and soulmate, Marty Mota. They had three beautiful children together: Adisenne, Jacob, and Liam. Nate was a wonderfully loving husband and father, who could always make his family laugh.
Nate always enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, and was happiest relaxing at home and hanging out with his family. He was highly skilled and knowledgeable with firearms, enjoyed MMA, and loved contemplating the mysterious and paranormal. Nate was a person of deep intuition, with an artistic and sensitive soul.
Nate is survived by his devoted wife, Marty Woodruff; his three children, Addy, Jake, and Liam; his parents, Kathryn Musial, Rick Woodruff, and Lawrence Musial; his loyal and loving brother, Jason Woodruff; extended family and friends; and two cats, William and Charles.
Life will never be the same without him; our lives were and are forever blessed by his presence and memory.
Many thanks and heartfelt gratitude go out to the amazing community, which offered us so much love and support throughout Nate’s cancer battle, in particular Marty’s close friends, Tiffany Cox and Vicki Kish; her work family at Pacific Sourdough; Nate’s brother, Jason Woodruff; and countless other friends, customers, and perfect strangers who held us up in so many ways.
Your kindness will never be forgotten.
