The annual State of the Coast Conference is being held virtually this year and offered to the public free of charge. The conference, hosted by Oregon Sea Grant, will be from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 5-6. Pre-registration is required by Monday, Nov. 2.
The State of the Coast conference is a chance to have fun and learn while listening to informative talks on current marine science and policy issues, participate in hands-on activities, and network with research, industry and community leaders. This year’s keynote speaker is world-renowned whale expert Leigh Torres. Her talk is titled, “Illuminating the many shades of gray whale life in Oregon waters.”
