Visitors to the Yachats Agate Festival look at exhibitor displays Sunday at the Yachats Commons. Organizers said crowds on Saturday and Sunday were the largest in the eight years of the event, which filled the Commons’ multipurpose room, hallways and adjacent classrooms. “It’s just been fantastic,” said Mary Crook, a member of the festival organizing committee. Vendors agreed. Angie Passmore of Stayton, who was working at the large Prehistoric to Present display, said crowds and sales had been “amazing.”
