To the editor:
View the Future, a Yachats-based non-profit organization, was founded in 2004 to help preserve, protect and enhance our area’s natural, cultural and recreational environment for the Yachats community and future generations.
VtF has done many projects with partners over the years such as securing conservation easements with private landowners, raising funds and writing grants for local trail projects, and doing historical research and publications for local cultural preservation. The recent Amanda Trail suspension bridge was one such recent partnership project. We also have conducted or hosted talks on environmental and cultural education pertinent to our local community.
VtF is beginning 2023 by engaging in strategic planning that defines how we move forward in the coming years to achieve our mission. Our invitation to you is to tell us how you feel about View the Future, our accomplishments and challenges, and how we can play a truly meaningful role as a valuable community partner in the future.
If you are familiar with VtF and our role in the Yachats community, you are invited to complete a brief online survey. Your feedback will help us gauge current community awareness and involvement in our organization’s work and assist in the development of our new strategic plan. The survey will be available to complete from Saturday, Jan. 14 through Sunday, Jan. 29.
You have our promise that all of your answers remain anonymous. All of your contact information remains confidential and will never be shared for any reason.
You can access the survey by going to VtF website www.viewthefuture.org or the VtF Facebook page or this online survey starting Jan. 14. It will also be posted on the Yachats Residents and Friends Facebook pages.
