YACHATS — The first spring weekend in Yachats is blooming with two popular arts and crafts fairs, plus a big book sale to benefit the Yachats Library. In all, beginning Friday there will be 38 hours of browsing and shopping fun.
Yachats Ladies Club Spring Crafts Bazaar, 286 W. Third St., 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Find homemade baked goods, plus a big selection of handcrafted knitwear, along with jewelry and home décor items. Tickets will be on sale for the club’s 2023 Scholarship Quilt Raffle. If you miss this weekend’s event, there’s another bazaar day scheduled from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 1.
Friends of Yachats Library Book Sale, Yachats Commons basement, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. All proceeds from this Yachats tradition will benefit the expansion project of the Yachts Library. Browse stacks of hardbound and paperback books in all genres and at bargain prices. The non-profit Friends group is also accepting cash donations for the expansion.
Yachats Spring Arts & Crafts Fair, Yachats Commons, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The Yachats Chamber of Commerce presents the 51st version of this major annual event, returning after a two-year pandemic lull. More than 50 artisans from the Pacific Northwest will offer works for sale, including art glass, pottery, wood work, sculpture, paintings, jewelry, photography, ceramics, leather goods and more.
