Lincoln County School District superintendent Majalise Tolan has announced two changes to the district’s administrative lineup for the 2024-25 school year.
Sandy Mummey, who now oversees the district’s diversity, equity and inclusion efforts, will become the director of elementary teaching and learning. Mummey succeeds Katie Barrett, who is moving to Spokane at the end of the school year, after six years in that position.
Mummey was a Lincoln County elementary school teacher for seven years, an elementary school principal for eight years before taking on the DEI administrator role in 2021.
As part of the change, assistant superintendent Susan Van Liew will absorb the Healthy and Equitable Schools Director role she was previously supervising. Van Liew has been with the district for 34 years.
