Even the Easter Bunny needs to do an occasional home repair, which is why you’ll find him at Habitat for Humanity’s second annual Home and Garden Show.
The event, which is the organization’s largest fund-raiser of the year, will take place at from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 9 at Chinook Winds Casino Resort.
Local businesses are at the heart of this community-focused event, which provides a platform for contractors, artists and businesses large and small to promote their products and services. It’s a perfect opportunity to discover new styles and meet local business people.
The event promises to be a day filled with vibrant displays, fun activities and a sense of hope and community. Entertainment will be an integral part of the show, with cultural dance performances, raffles and a silent auction taking place throughout the day. The appearance of the Easter Bunny will offer an opportunity for photos and add a festive touch for younger guests. Additional family-fun includes face painting and youth cheer performances.
The event is more than just a celebration of local talent and creativity, it is a critical fund-raiser for the nonprofit, an affordable housing developer dedicated to the mission of bringing people together to build homes, community and hope, believing that everyone deserves a decent, affordable place to live. The Home and Garden Show is a testament to this belief, fostering a stronger, more resilient community.
The funds raised at the event go directly toward supporting the organization’s work in Lincoln County. This work includes building new homes and selling them to income-qualified families through an affordable mortgage, providing critical home repairs for low-income homeowners, offering access to matched savings accounts for down payment assistance and home repairs and supporting disaster recovery efforts.
