On 12/23/21 a 911 call was made about a vehicle blocking the northbound lane. Upon arrival the vehicle was facing south in the northbound lane. The driver of the vehicle was stating his vehicle stalled. Upon looking at the vehicle it was out of gas and not operational. Vehicle was removed from roadway. The driver displayed signs of impairment. Driver consented to and performed field sobriety tests. Driver displayed additional signs of impairment and was arrested and charged with DUII. The vehicle was not towed and no longer a hazard.

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office had stopped by and advised OSP the involved crashed vehicle appeared to have gone off the road due to snow covered roads and it needed to be pulled out by a tow truck. Ecrash only. On 12/26/2021 at around 1:35PM the driver of a green 2007 Honda Pilot was traveling East on US-18 when at around milepost 12, lost control of their vehicle due to the road conditions. The Honda Pilot sideswiped a 2005 red Volvo V50 before crashing into a ditch alongside the highway. Both drivers exchanged information and a tow was arranged by North Lincoln Fire Department. Drivers and officers left before tow arrived.
