Crash – Non-injury
Location 20, Mile post 31 31 WB, LINCOLN OR
Narrative Summary
(ecrash) On 4/3/21 at approximately 11:29 pm I was dispatched to a single vehicle, roll-over crash, involving a gray Chevy Silverado (546JUK), which occurred on US 20 near mile post 31. Unit #1 was westbound when the juvenile driver reported she swerved to avoid hitting a deer. Roadway and shoulder evidence showed the vehicle had a shallow departure angle from the road off the westbound shoulder. At some point the vehicle began to roll and struck two road signs before coming to an uncontrolled rest on its top just off the westbound shoulder. During the scene investigation I located numerous CO2 cartridges and a Whippet dispenser in and around the vehicle. An adult passenger admitted to recently purchasing the dispenser and using it as inhalant.

On 4/4/21 at approximately 1:14 am I was dispatched to a single vehicle roll over crash, involving a tan Buick sedan (WVM616), on SR 18 near mile post 3. I contacted the driver at the hospital and during a crash interview he exhibited numerous signs of impairment and admitted to drinking alcohol prior to the crash. A hospital blood draw showed the driver had a .296% BAC.
