FW – Marine Board
Location LINCOLN OR
Narrative Summary
On 2/18/2020 at approximately 7:30 PM, I was dispatched to contact an anonymous complainant regarding a boating complaint on the Alsea River near Alsea Riviera (approximately milepost 8 on SR Hwy 34). I contacted the complainant and was advised that at approximately 4:00 PM that day, she had observed a boat traveling through a “No Wake Zone” with a 5 MPH speed limit in front of her residence. She was able to get registration numbers from the boat (E565XX) and she went to a nearby boat ramp up river from her residence and observed the same boat being removed from the water onto a trailer. She obtained a license plate number from the tow vehicle of E246353. She advised she did not want the responsible boat operator to be charged, she just want the proper agency to be contacted in order to get the operator to slow down. Further investigation revealed that the boat was being operated by an ODFW employee. The information has been passed to ODFW for follow up. (Log Only)
