On 12/23/2019 at 13:42PM the Oregon State police received a report of found property in Rocky Creek State Park. A citizen located a debit card, and an insurance card in the grass at the park. The property was later recovered by the Oregon State Police and was placed into evidence for safekeeping.

Narrative Summary
**eCrash Report** On 12/23/19 at approximately 13:35 PM, the Oregon State Police was contacted by AA Rowley’s Towing of Newport, OR after being called by an insurance company. A tow company employee contacted OSP after being called to a motor vehicle crash on US Highway 101 and Otter Crest Loop. The crash had not been previously reported to law enforcement. OSP responded to the scene and conducted an investigation. The crash occurred as Unit #1, a silver 2019 Hyundai Elantra was southbound on US Highway 101 near MP 132. The operator attempted to make a right turn off of US Highway 101 onto Otter Crest Loop. The driver was driving too fast for the turn, crossed the intersection and struck a guardrail along the south side of the intersection. No injuries were reported. The vehicle was removed from the scene by AA Rowley’s towing. The operator of Unit #1 was issued a citation for an improperly executed right turn.

Narrative Summary
On the evening of December 23, 2019, the Oregon State Police responded to a hit and run (non-injury) traffic crash on Hwy 101 near mile 127 in Depoe Bay. The complainant reported to be following the suspect vehicle (gray Chrysler sedan) after it hit his vehicle (gray Dodge truck) in a parking space. The suspect vehicle was located in Newport and a traffic stop was performed. OSP observed damage sustained to the suspect vehicle which corroborated the complainants report. The driver of the suspect vehicle was issued a citation for Failure To Perform the Duties of Driver.

Narrative Summary
Ecrash- At approximately 10:13 am I responded to a crash on Highway 229 milepost 30.5. Vehicle was blocking southbound lane of traffic. Evidence at the scene supports southbound vehicle veered off roadway prior to colliding with guardrail on southbound shoulder. Vehicle then rotated and came to uncontrolled rest facing north on the centerline. ODOT, Toledo PD, and LCSO assisted at the scene. Coast towing towed vehicle. Driver told me the car slipped causing her to hit the guardrail. Driver declined medical attention.

Narrative Summary
On 12/28/2019 at approximately 14:52 PM, the Oregon State Police responded to a report of a dog bite at the Devil’s Lake State Park. The incident occurred when a couple of campers were walking animals through the park. Two dogs from a neighboring campsite broke loose from their handler and began fighting with the dog being walked. During the dog fight, one of the parties sustained a minor abrasion, inconsistent with a bite. The handlers of the loose dogs had left the park prior to OSP arrival. Park Rangers were going to exclude the responsible party upon return to the camp ground. On 12/29/2019 the park manager informed the Oregon State Police that the responsible party had been excluded from the park. In addition the manager relayed more information in regards to the responsible party. The responsible party was unable to be contacted for more information.

Log only: A vehicle was sideswiped by a boat trailer as both units travelled northbound out of Lincoln City. I was able to contact the registered owner of the boat by telephone and advised him of the situation. Both parties pulled over at Van Duzer State Park for contact. Damage to victim vehicle was under $2500 in damages. I helped with driver exchange. The offending driver was issued a citation regarding the crash.

On the early morning of December 30, 2019, the Oregon State Police conducted a traffic stop on Hwy 101 near mile post 138 in Newport on a vehicle (black SUV) after observing an equipment violation. During the course of the traffic stop, the passenger was contacted and provided a name and DOB. The passenger was found to have an outstanding Probation Violation Warrant out of Lincoln County Oregon. The passenger was placed in custody after the warrant was confirmed and transported to the Lincoln County Jail where he was lodged on his outstanding warrant.
