Traffic Crimes – All Except DUII
Location 101, Mile post 152 152 NB, LINCOLN OR USA
Narrative Summary
On 10/1/19 at approximately 10:33pm I was dispatched to a roll over crash involving a red Ford pickup which occurred on US 101 near mile post 152. The driver left the scene prior to law enforcement arrival. The original caller reported the driver was assisted by two people whom identified themselves only as “cousins.” He also reported the driver did not appeared injured. Roadway evidence showed the red Ford pickup was traveling northbound completely in the southbound lane after exiting a sweeping left turn. Skid marks showed where the vehicle abruptly attempted to return to the northbound lane and when into a clockwise yaw as it drove off the northbound shoulder. The vehicle continued down a steep embankment and flipped end-over-end, coming to an uncontrolled rest on its top in a drainage ditch. An empty container of alcohol was located in the vehicle near the driver’s seat. Friends of the registered owner of the vehicle stopped at the crash scene and confirmed he had called them a short time before the crash and stated he was driving from Waldport to meet them in Seal Rock but he never arrived. The driver could not be located the night if the crash. This is an ongoing investigation.
