Narrative Summary
On 07/02/20 at approximately 5:17 PM, Oregon State Police responded to an active driving complaint traveling northbound on US-101 around milepost 131. Complainant reported Vehicle #1 (grey Encore) failing to drive within its lane of travel, almost hitting oncoming traffic. Oregon State Police initiated a traffic stop of the Encore on US-101 around milepost 128. Upon contact, the driver displayed several indicators of impairment, consented to and subsequently performed poorly on SFST’s. Driver was arrested for DUII-Alcohol and was transported to Lincoln County Jail where the driver consented to take a voluntary breath test which yielded a .21% blood alcohol content (BAC). Driver was cited and released for ORS 813.010 DUII-Alcohol.

Narrative Summary
The suspect was driving southbound in his Dodge truck where he went off onto the shoulder and had appeared to have crashed. During contact at the scene it ended up not being a reportable crash but the driver showed signs of impairment. After voluntary field sobriety tests the driver was arrested for DUII and transported to the Lincoln County Jail where he provided a valid breath sample indicating a 0.23% BAC. The driver was cited in lieu of custody for DUII and Reckless Driving and given a courtesy ride afterwards.

Narrative Summary
eCrash – On 7/3/20 at approximately 6PM a westbound vehicle left the roadway near milepost 11 of Highway 34 in Tidewater, Oregon. The vehicle left the roadway on the westbound shoulder and began to rotate counterclockwise. The vehicle re-entered the roadway and continued rotating and skidded off the eastbound shoulder. The vehicle was pulling a trailer loaded with a kayak and mountain bike. The trailer became dislodged and came to rest in a tree. The vehicle continued down a hundred foot embankment knocking down several large trees. The vehicle was littered with numerous alcoholic beverages. Vehicle crash was not reported until 7AM of 7/4/20. Driver was not on scene. Driver returned to the scene approximately 14 hours later. Driver had a small abrasion on the right ear and some scratches on his right leg. Driver told me he swerved to avoid an oncoming vehicle in his lane. Owner arranged for own tow.

**E-CRASH ONLY** Vehicle #1 (Gold Mercedes) was attempting to cross the highway when it pulled directly in the path of Vehicle #2 (Blue Subaru). Narrative Summary
Oregon State Police were told a man had been running down highway 101 near Yachats. He continued doing so until Yachats ambulance members, ODOT Incident Response, and local security were able to hold the subject until Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office arrived, along with OSP. The male was arrested under Peace Officer Hold standards. With the assistance from Yachats ambulance the male was transported on my Peace Officer Hold to Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital in Newport for care. While there I had spoken to his grandfather and father. The father was en route to the hospital.

Narrative Summary
On 7/4/20 at approximately 9:26 pm I was dispatched to investigate a vehicle versus pedestrian crash which occurred on SR 34 near milepost 9. When I arrived at the scene I located two involved males associated with a Chevy Silverado also at the scene. One male was transported via Life Flight helicopter to Sacred Heart Riverbend Hospital with life threatening injuries. The second male admitted he was the driver of the Silverado. He was exhibiting several signs of impairment. He consented to and performed poorly on SFST’s and was taken into custody for DUII. Further investigation revealed the two vehicle occupants were father and son who had been involved in a physical altercation while driving. The son, after stopping to allow the father to exit the vehicle, struck his father with the truck. He then exited the vehicle and further physically assaulted the father. The driver was lodged in Lincoln County Jail and charged with Attempted Murderer in the Second Degree, Assault I, Assault II, Assault III and DUII – Alcohol.
