Narrative Summary
On 10/05/2020 at approximately 7:33 PM, OSP received a report of a theft that occurred at Fogarty Creek State Park. I called the victim via phone, and gathered contacted information. On 10/06/2020 at approximately 4:25 I contacted the victim via phone. She told me she was parked on the east side of Fogarty Creek State park, and her green Mini Cooper had its back passenger window broken into. She also told me her pale grey leather purse was stolen, and in it was her ID, debit cards, credit cards, glasses, and other miscellaneous documents. The theft possible occurred between 7:00 PM and 7:30 PM on 10/05/2020.

Narrative Summary
On 10/05/2020 at approximately 7:49 PM I assisted Lincoln County Sheriff’s office on a backup request for a residential house fire. One of the male residence was reported to have possibly set fire to the house, and is an officer safety/EPD issue. I arrived on scene at 7:51 PM, and assisted with evacuation of nearby residence and keeping a perimeter of the house. North Lincoln Fire Dept. was able to contain the fire to a manageable level, so the deputies on scene could extract the male resident. The male was removed from the house, and was detained. He was alive, and transported to the Newport Hospital. I broke contact shortly after. Refer to Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office case number 20S-02383.

Narrative Summary
(ecrash) On 10/5/20 at approximately 9:20 pm I was dispatched to a single vehicle crash which occurred on US 101 near mile post 123. Unit # 1, a black Mitsubishi Raider (915LRV), was northbound when for an unknown reason the vehicle drove off the northbound shoulder, down a steep embankment and crashed head-on into a tree. During a crash investigation the driver stated the crash was due to mechanical failure of which she had been aware for some time. The driver was determined to have a suspended driving status and she was driving uninsured. The driver was cited for Driving Uninsured and Operation of an Unsafe Vehicle. No one was injured in the crash. The vehicle was towed from the scene by Car Care Towing.

Narrative Summary
On 10/06/2020 at approximately 6:40 PM, OSP received a report of a crash that occurred on US-101 milepost 160 near the driveway access of Tillicum Beach State park. I arrive on scene at approximately 6:58 PM. The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was being treated by medics on scene. He was going in and out of consciousness, and had a weak heartbeat. He was driving a light blue Toyota Highlander. Based on the road scene evidence he was traveling southbound, when for unknown reason he drove into the northbound lane into the ditch on the shoulder. He then traveling several hundred feet before rolling his vehicle. The vehicle came to an uncontrolled rest on the driveway access road across from the state park. Prior to the crash there was a driving complaint regarding his vehicle unable to maintain its lane. The driver was transported to the Newport Hospital due to his injuries, and ongoing medical issues. I followed up at the hospital, and medical personnel informed me that his toxicology report showed he did not have any drugs or alcohol in his system. He was transported Legacy Emanuel Hospital in Portland.

Narrative Summary
On 10/07/20 at approximately 12:48 PM, I stopped a blue 2004 Mitsubishi Eclipse for VBR (71/55mph) after the vehicle was observed westbound on SR-18 near milepost 3. The vehicle was stopped near milepost 2.5. On contact the driver had no legal reason for the speed, and had no ID on his person. The driver also admitted that he did not have insurance for the vehicle. The driver was identified through DMV records and social media and was determined to have suspended driving privileges. No other licensed drivers were present in the vehicle. The driver was issued citations for DWS-violation, Driving Uninsured, and VBR. The vehicle was impounded due to the DWS and no insurance. Care Car Tow Pro towed the vehicle from the scene. The occupants were able to contact an associate for a ride away from the stop location.
