Narrative Summary
(ecrash) On 11/23/21 at approximately 8:10 am I was dispatched to a single vehicle crash which occurred on US 101 near mile post 163. Unit #1, a red Hyundai Accent (674HGZ), was northbound in rainy conditions when the driver attempted to reach over to the passenger side of the vehicle and lost control. The vehicle crossed over the opposing lane of travel and crashed into a tree before coming to an uncontrolled rest on the southbound shoulder. The driver was not injured. The driver arranged to remove the vehicle from the scene.

***E-CRASH*** On 11/23/21 at approximately 5:10 PM, a single-vehicle crash occurred on SR-34 around milepost 22. Westbound Vehicle #1 (white Ford pickup) was negotiating a curve when it left the roadway, rolled, and came to an uncontrolled rest approximately 20 feet over an embankment. Narrative Summary
A Hyundai Elantra was driving westbound on US-20 as it came through the SR-229 junction at Toledo where it was seen driving erratically as it crossed over the center lane line towards the eastbound lane. A Ford Fusion driving eastbound attempted an evasive maneuver to the left but both vehicles collided in a left turn lane for SR-229 NB. All drivers and passengers were transported by ambulance to the hospital in Newport. The driver of the Hyundai showed signs of impairment and had a significantly high BAC result during intake at the hospital. This blood and an additional blood sample were seized after a search warrant had been applied for and approved. The driver of the Hyundai was cited and released for DUII, Reckless Driving, and Reckless Endangering. Rowley’s Towing removed both involved vehicles.

On 11/26/2021 at approximately 5:30pm, I assisted the Lincoln City Police Department and North Lincoln Fire and Rescue with a reported sea lion on the roadway on SE 51st Street approaching US Highway 101. As a group we were able to successfully herd the sea lion away from US Highway 101 and into Schooner Creek, which connects with Siletz Bay and the Pacific Ocean. Sheets of plywood were used to direct the sea lions movements in the direction we wanted it to go. (Log Only)

Log Only: The report partying was driving home after getting groceries in Waldport and when he pulled into his driveway he was followed by a 2003 2 door green Mitsubishi Eclipse where the driver then shut off its headlights. The driver of the Mitsubishi had gotten out of the vehicle and then back into his vehicle when lights were shone on him. The driver sped off but went into the ditch. Someone pulled the driver out and they left. Two men in their 30s and a woman in her 40s.

On 11/28/21 at approximately 3:25 pm I became aware of a driving complaint involving a gold Chrysler van heading eastbound on US 20 from Newport. I located and followed the vehicle as it entered Toledo on Business Hwy 20 and observed the vehicle commit several violations. I conducted a traffic stop during which the driver exhibited numerous signs of impairment and admitted to recently using impairing substances. The driver consented to and performed poorly on SFST’s. He was taken into custody and transported to Lincoln County Jail where he consented to provide breath and urine samples. The vehicle was released to a passenger. The driver was cited and released for DUII and Reckless Driving.

The driver consented to SFSTs and performed poorly. She was taken into custody and transported to the LCJ where she consented to a breath test which measured her BAC at .16%. She was cited and released for the DUII. The vehicle remained secured on scene.
