Crash – Injury
Location 229 HWY and COUNTY RD. CONN. RD,
Narrative Summary
Single vehicle crash on hwy 229 near mp 25. A green Ford Ranger was travelling northbound, towards Siletz, when it left the roadway and overturned, coming to rest on its wheels. It was occupied by the driver and a 2 year old child in a child safety seat. Both occupants were transported to PCH for evaluation. During the investigation, the driver appeared intoxicated. After the blood test results became available, showing the driver at over 3 times the legal BAC limit. Prior to being transported to another hospital, the driver was cited and released for DUII, Reckless endangerment, Reckless Driving, Driving While Suspended and Driving Uninsured. The child was released from the hospital to a family member.

Narrative Summary
On 12/18/19 at approximately 12PM a subject reported his tools had fallen off of his vehicle near milepost 1 of Highway 229. Subject reported a neighbor observed 2 males in a gray colored Ford Bronco II moving quickly to recover the items on the highway. The owner of the tools returned once he realized the tools were missing but the bandits were too quick and made off with the tools.
