SALEM – The two lawmakers who represent Lincoln County in the Oregon Legislature have received their committee assignments for the 2023 session, which begins Monday.
Sen. Dick Anderson, R-Lincoln City, has been appointed to the budget-writing Joint House-Senate Committee on Ways & Means and it’s natural resources subcommittee. He is also vice chair of the Ways & Means subcommittee on housing and development and is a member of the Senate Education Committee.
Rep. David Gomberg, D-Otis, is co-vice chair of the Joint Committee on Ways and Means, and co-chair of its subcommittee on Transportation and Economic Development, and is also on its subcommittee on general government. Gomberg has also been appointed to a standing committee on legislative policy and research and a new committee on semiconductors.
Anderson is in the middle of his first, four-year term as a state senator. Gomberg is starting his sixth, two-year term.
