On March 3, the Newport Police Department, assisted by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, served a narcotics-related search warrant at a residence located at 140 NE 60th Street in Newport. Officers had received information that ANDRES GARCIA GARCIA, 39, AND AMANDA HOUCHENS, 40, both of Newport, were selling narcotics from this residence to others in the Newport and Lincoln County area. Newport officers applied for and obtained a search warrant.
During the service of the warrant officers located evidence of drug use and sales. Officers located a commercial quantity of Fentanyl, digital scales, packaging material, drug records, drug use paraphernalia, and U.S. Currency.
Arrested at the scene and lodged in the Lincoln County Jail were the following persons for the following charges;

- Delivery of a Controlled Substance – Fentanyl
- Possession of a Controlled Substance – Fentanyl
- Manufacturing of a Controlled Substance – Fentanyl
- Frequenting/ Maintaining a Place Where Controlled Substances are Kept or Used
AMANDA HOUCHENS, 40
- Delivery of a Controlled Substance – Fentanyl
- Possession of a Controlled Substance – Fentanyl
- Manufacturing of a Controlled Substance – Fentanyl
- Frequenting/ Maintaining a Place Where Controlled Substances are Kept or Used
