The elevation of Majalise Tolan from director of secondary education to superintendent of the Lincoln County School District in July is resulting in a series of other administrative changes for the 2023-24 school year.
The district board agreed in February to hire Tolan to serve as superintendent when Karen Gray retires effective June 30.
The district announced this week that Newport Middle School Principal Aaron Belloni will replace Tolan as director of secondary education.
Other changes include:
- Crestview Heights vice principal Sandi Battles has been named to replace principal Mike Gass, who is retiring in June.
- Sam Case principal Marty Pérez will move to Newport Middle School as principal to replace Belloni. Sam Case assistant principal Marcy Doyle will step into the principal position there.
- Chloe Minch will become principal of Toledo High School replacing Brent Belveal, who came out of retirement to serve as interim principal this year.
- In central office personnel changes, Carol Stock has been named special education director and Mary Crawford-Roberts was appointed special education coordinator.
The district said it will undertake search processes for open assistant principal positions at Crestview Heights, Oceanlake and Sam Case schools.
