LINCOLN CITY – A 34-year-old Lincoln City woman died Friday evening from injuries suffered when her car collided with an eastbound truck on Oregon Highway 18 seven miles east of here.
Oregon State Police said Erin Nash died at Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital from injuries in the 6 p.m. collision.
Police said their preliminary investigation indicated that Nash pulled out of a parking lot and was attempting to turn left on Highway 18 and head west when her car was struck by a Ford F250 pickup truck driven by Daniel Toriz of Salem. Toriz and his two passengers were not injured, police said.
Police said Nash had to be extricated from her vehicle before being taken to the hospital. Highway 18 was closed for over three hours while the collision was investigated.
