YACHATS — The Central Coast Chorale will celebrate spring with a three-concert series, taking its first bow at Yachats Community Presbyterian Church at 4 p.m. Saturday.
Titled “Voices of Spring!”, the series features over 40 Lincoln County singers, accompanied on piano by Milo Graamans, under artistic director Rhodd Caldwell. Graamans is music director and pianist for the Yachats church.
The Yachats performance, like the other two events scheduled, begins at 4 p.m., with a suggested minimum donation of $10 at the door to support the chorale. The church is located at 360 W. Seventh St., with parking at the Sixth Street entrance off U.S. Highway 101.
The additional two performances will be at the Newport Performing Arts Center, 777 W. Olive St., on Sunday, April 30, and at Lincoln City Chapel by the Sea, 2125 S.E. Lee Ave., on Saturday, May 6.
The program includes a variety of songs about spring, including three works in Spanish from around the world to celebrate Latino culture and recognize Cinco de Mayo.
The chorale has been an active performing arts group in Lincoln County for over 24 years. For more information, or to inquire about joining the chorale, visit the group’s website. The chorale also posts on Instagram and Facebook under Central Coast Chorale.
