Two days ago a truck pulled up in my driveway. A couple got out, a young couple I know from Eugene. They are friends of my youngest daughter who lives in Los Angeles. The couple talked to my daughter a few days ago and told her they were coming to Yachats to stay in their home for a couple of days.
My daughter asked them to please bring along a sack of groceries for me and gave them a list. Of course I had no idea about this. I went to the door, they stood in the driveway with a huge bag of groceries! They also had a 2 foot tall orchid.
I was so touched by their kindness. I had tears of joy and gratitude. They wanted to stay, but we all knew that was not going to happen. So we gave each other air hugs and off they went.
