WALDPORT — Almost six dozen vendors are lined up for the new season of the Waldport Wednesday Market, opening May 1 for its 2024 season.
The market takes place from 10 a.m. through 3 p.m. each Wednesday through Sept. 25 in the parking lot of the Waldport Community Center. Admission is free.
Some 70 sellers, although not all on hand for each market day, will offer a range of goods.
“We’ll have several food vendors, selling everything from tacos to popcorn, seafood to candy,” said TiAnne Rios, secretary of Beachcomber Days, which is managing the market for the fifth year. A booth with fresh produce will also be in the mix. “Come on out and have lunch with us.”
A wide range of home, personal and gift goods will also be available, ranging from jewelry, books and dog collars to pottery, cutting boards and textiles.
Live music will also be part of this year’s Wednesday Market. “We’re always looking for local musicians who want to play,” said Rios. Interested musicians can email the group at BeachcomberdaysTV@gmail.com.
Area non-profit groups will also be represented on various market days. They include the Waldport Library, Central Oregon Coast Fire & Rescue, Oregon Coast Veterans Association, 211 Info and Protect Oregon Watersheds. Non-profit groups are not charged for booth space.
Since not every vendor is on-site each Wednesday, applications are still available for potential vendors. Those interested in applying may visit the market’s website. For a full list of vendors, visit this web page.
“Pretty much all of our vendors are local,” Rios said. “So come out and support our market community.”
