YACHATS – It may be the coast, but that doesn’t mean locals can’t enjoy a little Wild West entertainment.
Timothy Patrick, a longtime Eugene musician, is bringing his one-act music and multimedia show “On The Horse” about the American West to the Yachats Commons from 7:30-8:45 p.m. Friday, Aug. 25.
Doors open at 7 p.m. with a selection of beer and wine available from the Beach Daisy Wine shop. Tickets are $10 and will be available at the door or via Patrick’s website.
The program features more than 350 projected images, comical stories, and country music from greats like Willie Nelson, Gene Autry, Roy Rogers, Eddy Arnold, and Riders in the Sky. Patrick’s show also takes the audience down history lane with a fun look at TV and movie westerns, their characters and music.
Western apparel is encouraged, Patrick said, for the interactive, family-friendly performance.
Patrick has been performing “On The Horse” for more than 10 years at venues in Eugene, on a national tour in 2015, and in Scotland and Ireland in 2017. He also has 12 other multimedia shows, each with a different theme and featuring humor, music and audience interaction.
In addition to his solo work in theaters, wineries and night clubs, Patrick leads three other acts – Patrick & Hobbs, an acoustic duo; Timothy Patrick and The Saints, an electric trio; and Riffle, a dance band that performs blues, R&B, rock, and country hits.
