YACHATS – Yachats city manager Heide Lambert is asking residents needing to do business at city hall this week use only the drive-through window until a wave of Covid-19 cases affecting staff runs its course.
Lambert said for the last three weeks the city has had employees out with Covid-19 cases “so as a precaution we are asking people to use the drive through.”
“City hall is open and working, but just trying to minimize risk to our community and ourselves,” Lambert said.
Lambert said people can come into the office at their own risk or by making an appointment.
The city manager hopes she can re-open city hall Monday, but if anyone tests positive she would extend the closure into next week.
“This is not to be a barrier to city hall’s services, but a preventative measure to attempt to stop the spreading and risk to more staff having to be out,” she said.
