YACHATS – Art is back.
After two years of online shows because of the coronavirus pandemic, the Yachats Arts Guild is staging a “Trails to Spring” show from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday in the Yachats Commons.
The show is in Room 3, which is just to the left of the stairs from the Commons playground.
The show coincides with the Amanda Trail bridge dedication, part of which will also be occurring in the Commons both days. The Yachats Farmers Market is also nearby on Sunday.
The arts guild started in 2007 and still has some of the original artist members.
“We’ve grown now to 38 local artists and consist of painters in different mediums, stained glass, mixed media, and jewelry,” said Sherry Seacrest, the guild’s publicity chair. “We are also recruiting new members and you can pick up a brochure while you are visiting our show.”
The guild is sponsored by Polly Plumb Productions, a Yachats non-profit that promotes the arts and entertainment. For more information about the arts guild, go here.
