EUGENE — You don’t have to start a revolution or live on the East Coast to get a front-row seat to the Broadway musical sensation “Hamilton” this year.
Musical fans will now have a shot at seeing “Hamilton” in Eugene, as part of the 2022-2023 Broadway in Eugene season.
The American Theatre Guild, the largest not-for-profit touring Broadway presenter in the U.S., has announced “Hamilton” and other popular musicals for Eugene as part of the Hult Center’s 40th Anniversary Season.
Along with “Hamilton,” which won 11 Tony Awards its debut year in 2016 including Best Musical, the lineup will include “Legally Blonde,” “The Simon and Garfunkel Story,” “Come From Away” and “Anastasia.”
Season tickets are at BroadwayInEugene.com or by visiting the Hult Center box office. They start at $219, and give you access to all the listed shows. Individual show tickets are not yet available.
“Hamilton” is the first to run at the Hult, taking the stage for two weeks from Sept. 13-25. “The Simon and Garfunkel Story” is next up on Jan. 14, 2023, as a season add-on. “Legally Blonde” will run from Feb. 3-5, followed by “Come From Away” from April 25-30. The season will round out with showings of “Anastasia,” May 12-14.
