Narrative Summary
eCrash – On 12/18/20 at approximately 2PM a westbound Honda Civic crossed over the eastbound lane and off the embankment and crashed into the river near milepost 22 of Highway 34. Female driver exited the vehicle amid the rushing water and assisted by Central Coast Fire personnel safely reached the shore. Driver was transported to the hospital for evaluation. Coast Towing removed the vehicle. Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office and ODOT also assisted at the scene.

Narrative Summary
(Log Only) On 12/19/20 at approximately 6:13 am OSP was dispatched to the report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle on US 101 near milepost 136. Despite no evidence of injury, the male was transported to Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital for evaluation. Upon arrival at the hospital, police learned this was the second time in less than twelve hours the male had been admitted to the hospital for complaint of serious injuries. The male exhibited numerous signs of impairment and admitted to recent use of cannabis and methamphetamine. It was learned the male was on pre-trial release from Lincoln County Jail and had been released from jail on the previous day. Lincoln County Pre-Trial Service was contacted and they made a note of the violation of release conditions. Lincoln County Jail declined to lodge the male for violation of release conditions stating the suspect did not meet the conditions to be lodged. The male was released from the hospital and no action was taken.

(ecrash) On 12/19/20 at approximately 8:17 pm I was dispatched to a single vehicle crash on SR 34 near mile post 4. Unit #1, a white Chevy truck (YCS402), was eastbound when it struck a large downed tree blocking both lanes of travel. The vehicle was removed from the roadway by ODOT. The driver was cited for No Insurance.

Narrative Summary
(E-CRASH) On 12/20/2020 at about 11:15am, a maroon Mazda MX5 was traveling westbound on Highway 20 near milepost 19 when it rotated and collided with a guardrail at a high rate of speed. The vehicle then rotated and came to an uncontrolled rest along the westbound guardrail. The adult driver was injured and a juvenile female passenger was uninjured. Both the driver and passenger were transported by Pac West Ambulance to Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital in Newport. The driver was cited for the listed charge and the damaged vehicle was towed from the scene by Rowley’s Towing. Troopers were assisted by Toledo Police and Fire Departments, ODOT and Pac West Ambulance.

Narrative Summary
A person reported they broke down on Highway 18 near milepost 10 in a pickup hauling a fifth wheel trailer. The person reported that they left the trailer after unsuccessfully attempting to get help. The person returned to the trailer to discover a break-in and theft of personal property occurred during their absence. I contacted the person by telephone and requested they email a detailed inventory of the stolen property.
