The Siuslaw National Forest – and the Forest Service in Oregon and Washington — will be accepting applications from Oct. 30 through Nov. 9 for jobs next spring and summer.
The Siuslaw Forest will have 60 openings in the coastal towns of Waldport, Hebo and Reedsport, part of 1,000 jobs available in Oregon and Washington.
Check USAjobs.gov for all available positions on the Siuslaw National Forest.
Positions are available in a variety of fields including recreation, timber, fire, natural resources, and visitor services. Most are entry-level, and some may offer housing on site.
“Seasonal employees are an incredibly important part of our workforce on the Siuslaw,” said forest supervisor Robert Sanchez. “We strive to provide an inclusive, safe environment for all employees and encourage people from all backgrounds to apply.”
For more information about the hiring process, applicants are encouraged to join a virtual recruitment event from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28. Members of the U.S. Forest Service and the National Park Service will be available to review resumes, answer questions about working for public lands, and give tutorials about navigating USAJobs.
People can register for the Zoom meeting at publiclands2021.eventbrite.com. Other resources can be found on the regional website. Applications must be submitted on www.USAJOBS.gov between Oct. 30 and Nov. 9.
