Two Yachats residents are hosting a workshop March 2-3 on non-violent and compassionate communication.
The workshop will be led by LaShelle Lowe-Charde of Portland, a certified non-violent communication trainer. The sessions will be 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Room 8 of the Yachats Commons. Cost is $100.
According to the organizers, non-violent communication inspires collaboration, creative problem-solving, understanding, learning, healing, as well as effective grieving.
LaShelle Lowe-Charde has been a communication trainer for more than 20 years; her website is wiseheartpdx.org. Other resources are also available at the Oregon Network for Compassionate Communication (orncc.net) and the Center for NonViolent Communication (cnvc.org)
The workshop is co-hosted by Sally Marie and Kinlen Wheeler, who hope to start a study group in Yachats after the workshop.
People can register by making a check out to Kinlen Wheeler, and mailing it to Kinlen Wheeler P.O. Box 999, Yachats, OR 97498 or go to www.Sacredpathways.us
